Under the Chestnut Tree is my first published book, featuring 120 pages of illustrated poetry. Produced and published over the course of 3 years, it centers on themes of childhood fantasy and nostalgia, aiming to allow readers to experience complex adult emotions through the lens of their imaginative pasts.
The Dust Jacket design features a full spread of one of the illustrations from the book, with the intent for it to be unfolded to reveal the whole drawing—signaling the immersive experience of the book ahead.
After the book’s creation, it was funded on Kickstarter, leading me to independently coordinate the production, storage, fulfillment, and marketing aspects of the process.
